Intel Lunar Lake Leak Reveals Nine SKUs, Featuring Flagship Core Ultra 9 288V

Intel's upcoming Lunar Lake CPU lineup, set to launch in September, has been leaked. This leak, originating from VideoCardz, reveals nine SKUs, including the flagship Core Ultra 9 288V, aimed at powering high-end AI PCs.

The Lunar Lake lineup includes four Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 CPUs. These processors will feature 7 or 8 Xe2-Cores and 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5-8533 memory. Notably, these processors will debut with integrated on-package memory, which cannot be upgraded by users.

The standout of the lineup is the Core Ultra 9 288V, which will have a 30W TDP, making it the only processor in this series with a 30W Processor Base Power (PL1). Other processors in the lineup will have a 17W default TDP. The flagship Core Ultra 9 288V is expected to reach a max clock speed of 5.1 GHz for P-Cores and 3.7 GHz for E-Cores.

Lunar Lake will be Intel’s first platform to include a built-in NPU, enhancing Microsoft's Copilot+ PCs. The NPU's performance is anticipated to range between 40 and 48 TOPS, while the GPU performance will vary from 53 to 67 TOPS. Combined, the Core Ultra 9 288V could deliver up to 120 TOPS, including 48 from the NPU, 67 from the XMX, and 5 from the CPU.

The new integrated graphics in the Lunar Lake lineup will adopt a "more natural naming scheme" compared to previous iterations. The Core Ultra 9 and Core Ultra 7 will feature Arc A140V graphics with 8 Xe2-Cores, while the Core Ultra 5 will come with Arc A130V iGPU with 7 Xe2-Cores. The fastest graphics chips in this series are expected to achieve a maximum boost clock of up to 2.05 GHz.

Intel first introduced the Lunar Lake platform at Computex 2024. The new CPUs promise several improvements over the Meteor Lake series, including better power efficiency, a fourfold increase in NPU processing, and 50 percent faster Arc GPU performance. Devices powered by these new chips are slated to hit the market this September.

This leak, while unconfirmed by Intel, provides a glimpse into the potential capabilities and enhancements that the Lunar Lake lineup may bring to the market. Tech enthusiasts eagerly await the official release to see if the reported specifications hold true and to experience the advancements firsthand.
